Native Forward Scholars Fund offers a variety of funding opportunities for graduate students including MA, MS, PhD, STEM, Medical, Law, MBA, and other professional degrees.

NextEra Energy Foundation (NEEF) Scholarship 2024-2025

Deadline: June 1, 2024

The purpose of the NextEra Energy Foundation (NEEF) scholarship, in partnership with NextEra Energy Foundation, Inc., is to provide financial assistance to eligible American Indian and Alaska Native undergraduate and graduate students enrolled full-time at an accredited institution and pursuing degrees with a focus in environment, energy, cultural sustainability, or a major in a STEM or STEM-related discipline. Native American students pursuing degrees that prepare them for the renewable energy workforce are encouraged to apply. Applicants must hold a current GPA of 3.0 or higher.

This program will award 16 scholarships in the amount of $5,000 per academic year. This opportunity is a need-based award.

REQUIREMENTS
Students must meet the following requirements to be considered for this scholarship:

  • Be an enrolled member or a descendant of a federally or state-recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native group.
  • Be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • Be pursuing a degree with a focus in environment, energy, cultural sustainability, or a major in a STEM or STEM-related discipline.
  • Possess an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
