Pete is an undergraduate senior at Columbia University majoring in Political Science and Ethnicity & Race Studies with a specialization in Native American and Indigenous studies. She is the President of the Native American Council, an intern in undergraduate admissions, co-chair for the Columbia Mentoring Intuitive, and recruitment liaison for Indigenous student housing. She also works in social media management, curating posts for grassroots and intersectional organizing groups. On her own time, she utilizes her social media to speak about Indigenous topics relating to her identity. Garnering experience working for her district’s congressman, educational organizations, and psychological research, she hopes to work in education policy to protect the sovereign rights of Indigenous Peoples.
