College of Menominee Nation 2023 Commencement 

The College’s annual celebration will be held on May 20 at the Menominee Casino Resort 

The College of Menominee Nation (CMN) will be hosting their 2023 Commencement at the Menominee Casino Resort Conference Center on Saturday, May 20 in the Five Clans Ballroom. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. A reception will follow at the College’s Keshena Campus. 

The Commencement Speaker for this year’s event is Angelique Albert, Chief Executive Officer of Native Forward. Native Forward is the top scholarship provider to Native students in the Nation. Albert is a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes with over 25 years of experience as a Tribal leader in various areas. She has her Bachelor of Arts in Human Services and Master of Business Administration with special emphasis in American Indian Entrepreneurship from Gonzaga University. 

This year’s student speaker is Martina Thomas. Thomas will be graduating from CMN with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She is a member of the Rosebud Sicangu Sioux Tribe. 

As a part of the College’s 30th anniversary celebration, Restoring Nations Through Education, Justin Gauthier will be speaking on May 17 at the S. Verna Fowler Academic Library at 10 am and 4 pm. The community is invited to attend this lecture and it will be live streamed on CMN’s Facebook page. 

A breakfast with the College President will be held the day before for graduates to rehearse and receive a headshot for their personal portfolios. Congratulations to all 2023 graduates! The College of Menominee Nation is proud of all the graduates and admires their dedication.
