Lopez is a mother to five beautiful children and she was born in Great Falls, Montana, and an enrolled member of the Chippewa Cree tribe of Rocky Boy Reservation in Montana, and is also Hispanic. She is the eighth child out of 11 children. She returned to college after being a stay-at-home parent for over 10 years returning to college in the fall of 2022. She is majoring in Ethnic Studies with a minor in Indigenous Studies at Colorado State University. She says her goal is to have a career as an educator and make an impact for underserved students while supporting and uplifting them into higher education. Lopez is passionate about serving others and making a difference in her community. She says she also wants to be a positive role model for her children, family, and community.
