I am a first-generation college student, and mom to three little boys. When I am not being a taxi driver (taking my children to all of their sports practices & games), I am spending time studying, hunting, and fishing with my husband and our kids, or helping others.

After having family members die of an overdose, I realized I had to do something. Although I am not in recovery myself, I am however a daughter, sister, cousin, and friend to loved ones in recovery. I feel like more people in recovery need loving people who truly care about them, to find their way to sobriety. I was not raised on my reservation, however, I am raising my children on our reservation. So, we all enjoy getting to be more involved in our culture and traditional ways of life. When I graduate I plan to bring my knowledge back to my Tribe to help my people.
